Last updated: TODO date. Draft: everything marked TODO is still to be confirmed.
The short version: Focus Pals keeps what it needs to run your meadow and show your friends that you're focusing. It never sees which apps you block, and nothing you type is recorded.
Focus Pals is made by TODO legal entity or maker name, TODO address and country. Write to SUPPORT_EMAIL about anything on this page.
This lives on servers run by Supabase in TODO data location (the project region).
Blocking uses Apple's Screen Time. When you pick the apps to block, Apple gives Focus Pals hidden tokens for them, not their names. We cannot tell which apps they are, and the selection is stored only on your phone, in the app's own storage that its blocking extensions share. It is never uploaded.
The app uses PostHog, a product analytics service, to record how people use Focus Pals' own screens: which screens open, taps, and a replay of the app's screen as a series of pictures. Anything you type is hidden before it leaves your phone. The recording covers only Focus Pals; it never includes other apps, your home screen, or Apple's own Screen Time screens. Recordings are tied to your account identifier, not your name or email. We use this to find where the app confuses people or breaks.
Recordings are kept for TODO retention (PostHog's default is 30 days; confirm).
Waitlist emails are stored with TODO the form provider.
In the app, the Start over option removes your pet, items and coins. To delete your whole account and every session, email SUPPORT_EMAIL from any address and name the account; it is gone within TODO days. TODO confirm whether an in-app Delete account button ships at launch (App Review expects one when the app has account creation).
Focus Pals is for people aged TODO minimum age and over.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so the next time you open it.
